Well again I didnt get good pictures of Lowell's camo party ,sheesh! It was a lot of fun but there was a lot of things that changed. I had rented a inflatable obstacle course that was cancelled that morning because the winds were too strong. That was the main thing to occupy the kids so I was freaking out. But I came up with lots of games to take up the time. We had also made camo marshmellow guns with targets for the kids to aim at. It seemed the kids had a good time anyway so I dont know why I worry about things not going the way they should. Aunt Karen got Lowell a sleeping bag for his birthday which just the other day he was complaining that he didnt have one. Good job Aunt Karen!

Logan has been playing with the Crown Valley Colts for three years now. This season they made it to the Championships and tat was very exciting. We of course had to make a banner for the team to run thru, one of the mom's is really good at the letters.

On halloween night we actually took kids treat or treating door to door and while we were out a family was trying to find a family for there last Rat Terrier puppy. I couldnt leave her she liked me right away and I had to take her especially that she was free! Well she became a part of our family and was well loved. Mike put her out to potty one night and right away an owl came and took her away. The kids and I were so upset (Mike not so much) and had a hard time with it. The kids had named her Boo because we got her on Halloween night.

I had so much fun hanging out with my mom and sewing, doing crafts and baking. I really wanted to make these scrappy skirts for the girls. So I had to ask my mom for help and I fell in love with her sewing room. It's awesome I wish I had a room to do anything I wanted!! I will take a picture of the girls with there scrappy skirts on when I finish the waist. They turned out really cute!

I really wanted to change the GOLD framed mirror I have hanging in my family room. So I thought the easiest way to make a change would be spray paint. I went with a ivory color, I really wanted a light color since it was a shiny gold. Not my style!! So I used things I already had a home except the spray paint which I bought at JoAnns for $7.99.

Next I put probably 3 layers of newspaper down and taping it down with tape.

Spray, Spray and Spray!!

I let it dry for 2 hours and done! I love it much more now!!

First Day of School

Well they wouldnt let me take a second picture so this is what I got. Jordyn is a SENIOR this year (ya I cried) Julia is in 8th grade and my Logan is 6th he started middle school this year YIKES!!

Now Lowell and Isabelle they take really cute pictures still, thank goodness! Belle started all-day kindergarten and Lowell 1st grade. I have 6 hours to myself and having a lot of creative ideas coming to my head.

My baby turned 5 ahh how time flies~ Belle wanted a farm birthday party. I had a lot of fun planning that, we had all kinds of food and games and fun!! I rented a huge bounce house, slide thing. Isn't this so pretty, this is Silver Lake up in Mammoth Ca. I was able to go visit Mike for my birthday and I got to go kayaking. This time we went over the whole lake and even went down a creek and followed that for awhile. The water was clear and we saw fish swimming right under us. I have realized that I have been doing the mom thing for 17 years (which I love every min of it) and I haven't really experienced much. I love stuff like this and we now have to go camping here, the kids would love it.

Its hard to see but ducks were swimming right by us.

I rented a car to go see Mike and this is what they gave me a Fiat 500. It was the smallest car ever, I dunno but it felt like it. Mike and I were so cramped in this thing we just laughed about it.

This is after Lowell tooth came out but it was such a process. He was so excited when he realized he had a loose tooth then a fear set in when he found out it had to be pulled. But he was extremely happy when it was out especially when the tooth fairy brought him money.

The kids were exited to see dad even though their faces are not showing it. Maybe because this is the start of the 3 1/2 hour drive.

I was able to Kayak for the first time in Mammoth, it was sooooo much fun. I had no idea how much I would love it. I took each kid out across the lake and Logan was the only one that would let me go as far as I wanted. Now I dropped my camara in the water so I took a picture of Julia to see if it would work and this is all it would do so all the kayaking we did I didnt get any pictures.:( I can not wait to go again!!

We had the Gustafsons and Bates out at our house for almost five days. Even though there was 19 people total I would do it all again. We had so much fun and we always had some sort of entertainment with having all these kids around. Mike even came home for a day and a half. Beach Day!!!!! We went to the Santa Monica Pier. Very nice beach lots of people but there was so much room it didnt matter. Im not sure which kid is under the towels but I think a lot of the boys would take turns putting crackers or cookies on there stomach while they hid under the towel then when a seagull got close they would try to catch it. They would almost catch it.

We went to Bishop to see Mike and look he has a friend. He has a puppy and a pepsi for Father's Day what more can you ask for. One of the highlights of Bishop (besides the new puppy) was swimming. The kids did not want to stop but it wore them out good.

We were able to go visit Mike up in Bishop for Father's Day weekend. The kids were so excited because they knew they were going to be able to go fishing. The first day we went Lowell caught one right away and then caught another. He really was excited about that. The next day Jordyn caught six fish, Logan caught three, and Mike one or two. Lowell caught one but had to put it back, he wasent to happy about that. Lots of fun though. The girls not so much luck with fishing....

Mike has been working up in Bishop Ca for the past week, so he called and said drop kids off and come up...I jumped at that!! I drove up on Saturday after dropping kids off at family and friends and made it up in enough time for Mike to get off work. Well I get a call soon after with Mike telling me sorry I have to work until 11:00 and I thought ok we will spend all of Sunday together. Well when he got to the hotel he said Im so sorry but I have to work on Sunday!!!! Oh well it was a wonderful quiet weekend anyway. I think I just needed that and it all worked out. On the way home I wanted to get a picture of Mt. Whitney it was beautiful but I am not sure if I got the right Mt. Oh well it was all beautiful!!

Phoenix Zoo

We were able to go to AZ Easter weekend and our first stop was the zoo with all of my family. It was a lot of fun but I cant believe that 90 degree weather was getting the better of me. I had the worst headache at the end of the day. My kids wish they could of seen more and spend more time with the cousins. Belle wanted to make sure she saw the Giraffes and Lowell wanted to see the Alligators. Well we got to see the Giraffes but the Alligator area is now the Flamingo area. No Gators :( There was a huge tortoise that may be 150 years old.

Autism Awareness Day!!

April is Autism Awareness month and we were able to attend an jog/walk fundraiser the other day. It was a lot of fun and filled with lots to do. Someone even let kids paint on his car. When do you get to paint on a car??? Next year I want to put a team together and get all family together and do the jog/walk together...

Julia finally has a horse!! She is extremly happy and has been taking care of Rosie everyday since getting her. I just hope that doesnt go away. Julia has really been wanting a horse since she got into vaulting. My sweet niece Tiffany had this horse at one time and she needed a home so we were waiting with open arms.

A couple of days before surgery my mom came out to help me with the kids and house. Thank goodness because she did the cooking, cleaning, taking kids to school and back. I didnt have to worry about anything. It was wonderful and I think that is why my recovery is going so well. Thank you MOM!!!!

It looked like he took an ice cream scoop to his knee! UCH!! I took Logan to the dr to see if we should do stiches and they said there is nothing to grab to stich. They cleaned it really good and Logan was very brave. Then we came home and he was right back on the scooter!!

Surgery!

SWOLLEN!!!! My face was huge and these pics are after a few days. I had to have surgery to remove a rare cyst in my jaw. This was my first time going under and I was extremly nervous but I did it and the dr did a great job. They had to remove some bone and cut away muscle and the cyst was very large so I am thankful its out. The dr was concerened because it was attached to the nerve and she couldnt touch the nerve so there are likely some cells left so I have a high chance of it coming back. Positive thinking, positive attitude RIGHT!! My mom has to fly back home and I am sad because she has been helping so much now its back to being a full time mom!

Arizona bound!!!

We finally were able to go to Arizona!! We were so excited!! Our friends the Gustafsons son Magnus was getting baptized so we headed out! The drive there was very long and had to stop a lot but we finally got there. We havent been able to get out there to visit for several years now and the moment we arrived it felt like we had never left. Julie and Eric have a lot of animals and there is always something to do. My kids spent 95% of there time outside playing and they fell asleep so fast at night. We took some fun pictures of the kids being silly and having a good time. I cant wait to go back hopefully soon. Ryker, this kid is a crack up! Are last night visiting he had us all laughing, I love it!

Belle, Lowell, Julia, Zoie, and Hayden. I think everytime I take a picture of these three older girls they strike a pose. Too funny!

Julie got out some little pet shop toys and I think Belle spent 2 hours straight playing with them. Yay!!

The boys! Lowell, Magnus, Logan, and Ryker. These boys got along so well (like always) and played from sun up to sun down.

Eric had built a incubator for chicken eggs. When we first arrived chicks had already started hatching. I think they ended up with 13 baby chicks. They boys were helpling Eric build a coop for the chicks.

Before we left we were able to go to G&G Holbrooks house. We were able to see lots of family which was awesome. Belle and Zoie had there very own table to eat breakfast Yummy!! We had bacon, eggs, waffles, Oj, and it was all on cute valentines plates.

Lowell is 6 yrs old!! He was so excited when he woke up this morning and we all sang Happy Birthday to him. Everyday he checks to see if he grew at all while he was sleeping. He had a good day he went to school and shared yummy cupcakes with everyone in his class then he really wanted his friend Kage to come over for a spagetti dinner. It was a great day!

The Gentle Barn

Lowell was invited to his friends birhtday party at the Gentle Barn. This is such a wonderful place. This place rescues animals that are abused or neglected or just need some love and a home. Lowell had a lot of fun feeding the animals and hugging them and giving them some attention. I cant wait until I take my others kids they would of loved it.

One of our last family outings for winter break was Bass Pro Shop. Mikes favorite place ever. As we were walking in the store Mike informed us that we would be there all day looking around. OK!!

A Family Hike!

The other day we went to Vasquez Rocks and hiked. Jordyn was with his cousin this day so he didn't join us but he would of had fun. We went with a lot of other families with a lot of kids. I have no idea how many miles we hiked but it was an adventure and cold. We had to cross several creeks and I followed the kids across a big one and lucky me I was the one to fall in. Oh my I was freezing I had to hike back to the car and get some dry clothes. The rest kept on going. It was a great day! We thought this was pretty cool.

Every year we go to Mike's sister house and have Christmas dinner and open gifts. This year Aunt Donna got Belle a Belle doll and she loves it. Thank you Aunt Donna!!

Last week we went to our ward christmas party, it was a lot of fun as always. After dinner the youth were in a live Nativity and it was wonderful. Our friend Cheyenne was an angel.

A couple weeks ago I put my older children in charge of the younger kids and went grocery shopping. When I come home I walk in the door and immediatly see Belle smiling at me with extremly short hair on one side and her normal length hair on the other side. Well all I could do was laugh because really we all have done that at some point. I know I use to cute my hair All the time growing up. So we went to Super Cuts and the nice lady fixed it and I forgot my camara-of course. I think her new haircut looks pretty cute on her and it is so much easier to take care of.

Outdoor Science School

A couple of years ago Julia left for a whole week at Outdoor Science School for 5th grade. Its Logans turn this year. Logan was able to go to Malibu, he said it was a lot of fun. This is Logan right before he loaded the bus to leave. I was sad but not like some of the other moms that were crying!! But by Wednesday I was ready for him to come home.

Logan turned 11 this year! He picked going to the movies to go see Megamind so he asked a couple of friends to go. Logan and his friends are playing video games before the movie starts.

Logan wanted me to bring donuts for his class at school. So ok thats easy and I like easy!! I felt bad for giving all this sugar to the class then giving them back to the teacher all hyper... Sorry! Anyways I think Logan had a lot of fun with his birthday this year.

My mom made this cute quilted spider placemat. We put it at the center of our table for our Halloween dinner. It was a lot of fun for the kids. We made mummy dogs, eyeball soup, and halloween cupcakes for dessert. My mom had some fun toys and candy for each of the kids. I wish I had a picture of the table all set for halloween dinner. Yay Grandma is here to visit!! Carving pumpkin time with Grandma Holbrook. My mom flew in in the middle of the week and the kids and I were soooo excited! The kids all were able to spend time doing things they enjoy with grandma. Julia was able to do some sewing with grandma and a lot of cooking. Jordyn got to play board games and cards. It was wonderful to have her here. I think its funny Jordyn and Belle are making the same faces.

Lowell and Belle are almost done with there soccer season. Lowell absolelutly loves soccer, he is pretty good. Belle really doesnt care for it. She will be in the middle of the game and when she is done she is done, she will run off the field and sit down.

First Day of School!!!!

Today was the first day of school. I wasent prepared at all I think I was in denial all summer that the kids have to go back to school. I love summer and not having a set schedule is awesome. I didnt get a picture of Jordyn and Julia they go to school earlier in the morning. Jordyn is in 11th, Julia in 7th, Logan in 5th, Lowell in Kindergarten, and Belle preschool.

Belle woke up the morning of her birthday so excited that she was having a party and that her cousins and friends were coming over to celebrate with her. Aunt Angela and her kids got belle her this game. Time for family game night.

Jordyn's First Football Game!!

Friday Jordyn had his first football game at Edwards AFB. It was so HOT!! Oh my a cheerleader passed out and a referee had to be taken away in a ambulance. They did such a good job it was a great game. They didnt win but they played hard. Jordyn is #56 he played a lot in the game.

Iam so bummed the picture is blurry. This is dinner after my grandparents vow renewal. It was awesome and I am so grateful I was able to go. My grandparents Hudson were married 50 years ago at the little white chapel in Las Vegas and they were remarried this past weekend. They are so cute! My mom made a quilt with there picture from 50 years ago of there wedding day and put family pictures all around that. It was beautiful.

We went to Mikes favorite store of all time! Bass Pro Shop! They has a casino attached to this one and there was a huge aquarium tank with a mermaid in waving hello to everyone.

It's very blurry, I thought the kids would get a kick out of this. Lowell kept asking if it was real.

Its so funny how mike acts in this store its definatly his toy store. We first went in one with our good friends Julie and Eric in AZ. They were so funny about going in we were laughing so hard.

Julia was getting in on the fun. Mike decided to paint the chicken coop before any weather could ruin the wood. I love that he is making it look like a barn. He said he wants to put up white trim.

First of all Belle loves taking pictures with Julia's new camara from Miss. Debbie. So Belle took about 10 different pictures and I love this one of Mike and I. Thanks Belle!!

Lowell learning on Charlie. He is such a wonderful horse he is blind and very patient and calm with the kids. I really didnt know how much I like horses until I met Charlie and Tanney. This has been such a wonderful thing Miss Debbie has introduced to my kids. They love it and look forward to it everyday.

Ugh I still cant turn the pictures to stay! Whatever I give up!! Logan and Belle and of course Jessie practicing on the barrels.

Julia started vaulting at our neighbors house. She teaches vaulting and also works with Belle at school. The horses name is Charlie he is so handsome and he is also blind. Belle and Lowell were able to go ride Charlie its great therapy for Belle and Lowell especially for Lowell's hips. Belle loves Charlie and wants to give him carrots everyday.

I Love the beach, my kids love the beach it's so relaxing. I wish I had more time to enjoy it. All of these pictures are from two different days. Mikes sister is in town from New Mexico so it was nice to go to the beach to see her. This is Logan body surfing.

A little late but at least I got it on here. This graduation was so cute it made me smile the whole time. Lowell did a great job we took so many pictures of the program I didnt have enough for the awesome quilt the kids worked on for Miss Debbie and Miss Cheryln. It was so cute, all of the preschool kids had a picture of themself with a painted picture on the quilt and each teacher got one. Lowell had made great friends in the preschool, lots of fun. On to Kindergarten and they just made it all day at the school this year. We will see how it goes.

Yummy Yummy! Its that time of year again. This is the second year in a row that we have gone with David and Angela's family to Leona Valley to go pick cherries. The kids love it, mainly because they can eat as many cherries as they pick. I wish we could go more often they are so good!

A new Chicken (Mansion) Coop

Mike decided to build a new chicken coop after Buddy the goat destroyed the one we had. Mike's dad actually built the one we had so it was sad that the goat had to brake it down. Mike has been researching different coops and what would best work for them and how we could keep the squirrels out of. So he decided to build one that is off the ground with 10 nesting boxes that we will be able to get the eggs from lifting a lid on the outside. He is putting a ramp with eventually he said he will put a automatic door on for them that will close at night. He has gone all out on this project and the chickens and rooster will be very happy. I cant wait to see it complete!

These will be the nesting boxes. Still a long way to go.

Lowell had his Graduation from Preschool the other day and I cant wait to get the camara developed. He did such a good job. We had our good friends the Bills come over last weekend and oh what a joy!!! We were able to meet there new daughter Gartee, she is so cute! Summer is almost here I am, I mean we are counting down the days!! Yea!

Jordyn's 16th Birthday/Movie Night!

Since Jordyn was um maybe 4 years old he wanted so badly a surprise birthday party. I have never thrown one for him so I thought his 16th birthday might be the time right... Well he found out my plans and I could see the worry in his face. I guess times have changed since 4! So I asked him how about a movie night " Oh OK" he said. Jordyn is my quiet I guess shy guy so any socializing for him is out of his comfort zone. Fine with me!! Everyone came over and watched Land of the Lost funny but its Will Ferrell, need I say more. We were very lucky to also have Grandma and Grandpa over to spend the night on the same weekend. Lowell played his own version of pool with Grandma and loved it. Automatically he won of course. I am bummed the pictures came out so fuzzy but I took them with my video camara so they are just not the same. I cant believe how time flies, it really goes by so fast. I can remember when he was my 8lb. 14oz. baby boy. He was born on a Friday the 13th and I always said he brought luck to the day! I love you Jordyn and I cant wait to see what the future holds for you.

Well yes I have gone thru another camara. Mike bought me a nice Cannon camara for Mother's Day 2 years ago and it's already broken.UGH!! I took pictures on Mother's Day, I took pictures when Mikes parents spent the night, and just various others. Oh well I guess its back to the good ol disposable until the next camara! Summer is almost here I cant wait to take the kids swimming go to the beach, and HOPEFULLY a vacation somewhere.... I love summer!! Lowell has been asking to go to the beach all winter. I am really looking forward to the Bill's family coming out the end of May, I am so excited for that. I just registered Lowell for Kindergarten, Lowell was able to ride the big yellow school bus and also listen to a story and make a craft. I thought he had a fun day so on our way home I asked him did you have fun? Are you excited for Kindergarted? He said "No there is to many rules." Oh man he has no idea!! Jordyn turns 16 tomarrow!! Oh my that doesnt mean I'm old does it? WOW I have a 16 yr. old. Now he can drive himself to seminary YEA!!

Our goat Lilly had a baby, Lowell named her Sophia. Belle loves her and cant get enough of her. Of course Sophia loves Belle. Yes it's yucky that Belle is laying in her pin but she gets a good shower after.

Family Garden Project

Mike and Jordyn making the garden box. We planted a garden last year and the rabbits and squirels were terrible. They ate everything as soon as it grew. So Mike layed down chicken wire then a layer of a mesh type of material. He layed the box on top.

The kids would shake the dirt thru a screen so the rocks and anything unwanted wouldnt go in.

Yea!! our garden, Mike put a taller box around the base so the animals wont get in. I hope this one works....
